Tôi là Tạ Văn Quang, giáo viên Toán hiện đang công tác tại Trường PTLC 2-3 Trấn Yên II, Yên Bái xin có lời chào tới tất cả các Cô giáo , Thầy giáo và các em học sinh Trường THPT Thị xã Nghĩa Lộ. Lời đầu tiên, tôi xin chúc các Cô giáo, Thầy giáo có một sức khoẻ dồi dào, có một tinh thần đoàn kết chặt chẽ và có một sức sáng tạo phi thường trong sự nghiệp giáo dục của Nhà trường, chúc các em học sinh học giỏi, vui tươi, đoàn kết và có kết quả cao nhất trong Kỳ thi Tốt nghiệp THPT và kỳ thi Đại học và Cao Đẳng sắp tới.
Tôi viết bức thư này để bày tỏ lòng ngưỡng mộ của tôi đối với tập thể Ban giám hiệu, Tập thể Hội đồng giáo dục và toàn thể các em học sinh của trường THPT Thị xã Nghĩa Lộ về việc Nhà trường đã cho ra đời một Website có tính giáo dục và ứng dụng rất cao.
Tôi biết được điều này là do tình cờ tôi nghe một thầy giáo ở cùng phòng trọ với tôi tại TTGDCT huyện Trấn Yên khi chúng tôi cùng tham gia trong kỳ thi Tốt nghiệp THPT 2010 tại Hội đồng thi THPT Lê Quý Đôn hỏi một Thầy giáo cùng trường là :” Máy (Mobile) của ông có vào được trang Web của trường mình không?” Đối với một ai đó thì thông tin này chỉ như một cơn gió thoảng, nhưng đối với tôi thì thông tin này thật sự có ấn tượng. Tôi tự nhủ mình phải tìm hiểu thật kỹ thông tin này. May mắn sao, tôi lại được nói chuyện trực tiếp với Thầy giáo Nguyễn Cao Luận, lúc đó đang làm Chủ tịch Hội đồng thi Lê Quý Đôn. Mọi thông tin tìm hiểu, mọi vướng mắc, mọi cách làm gợi ý tôi đều được Thầy Luận trả lời một cách hết sức chân tình và đầy đủ. Và trên hết Thầy đã truyền cho tôi lòng nhiệt tình đang rực cháy trong trái tim đầy nhiệt huyết của Thầy. Thầy không nói nhiều về cá nhân Thầy, nhưng những tấm gương về lòng say mê, tinh thần cống hiến cho tập thể, tính không vụ lợi, và cao hơn cả là sức sáng tạo phi thường của một số Thầy, Cô cứ lần lượt hiện ra như Thầy Chỉnh (Giáo viên môn Tiếng Anh), Thầy giáo dạy Tin Học (Rất tiếc tôi lại chưa biết tên)…vv…, và một số thầy cô khác nữa đã cho tôi hiểu thêm về một tập thể ưu tú do một tập thể các Thầy Cô ưu tú lãnh đạo hoạt động. May mắn thay cho những em học sinh nào đã, đang và sẽ được học tập và rèn luyện trong một ngôi trường có một tập thể Thầy, Cô có lòng yêu nghề, yêu trẻ đến như vây.
Về phần mình, tôi tự nhủ phải làm gì đây để học tập một phần tinh thần tự hoc, lòng say mê sáng tạo; đức cống hiến hy sinh cho tập thể của các Thầy, Cô giáo Trường C3 Nghĩa Lộ. Tôi có hứa với Thầy Luận là tôi sẽ là bạn đọc trung thành của Website và nếu có thể sẽ là một Poster (Người cung cấp thông tin) thường xuyên cho Website trường mình.
Cuối cùng, xin một lần nữa được tỏ lòng khâm phục và ngưỡng mộ một tập thể Thầy, Cô giáo tâm huyết và tài năng. Xin chúc các Thầy, Cô giáo mạnh khoẻ, các em học sinh đã giỏi rồi phải giỏi hơn nữa để kế tục xứng đáng sự nghiệp cách mạng mà các Thầy , Cô đã, đang và sẽ mãi mãi truyền dạy cho các thế hệ học trò thân yêu của vùng đất cánh mạng và nên thơ Mường Lò yêu quý của Tổ quốc Việt Nam.

I. Thì hiện tại đơn (The simple present tense)

- Diễn tả sự việc thường hay xảy ra ở giai đoạn hiện tại.
We go to work at 7.30.

- Diến tả những thói quen, tập quán hay đặc tính.
She often plays badminton every day.
Mr. Quang drinks strong tea after meals.
- Diến tả một chân lý hay một sự thật hiển nhiên.
The earth goes around the sun.
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
II. Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (The present continuous)
1. Cấu tạo.2. Cách dúng: Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn dùng để:
- Chỉ một hành động, sự kiện đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói.
He is reading a book.
It is raining heavily.
- Chỉ một sự thay đổi đang xảy ra xung quanh thời điểm đang nói.
The population of Vietnam is increasing very fast.
The earth is getting warmer and warmer,
- Chỉ một hành động được lên kế hoạch từ trước cho tương lai.
He is buying a new car next month.
III. Thì quá khứ đơn (The simple past)1. Cấu tạo2. Cách dùng: Thì quá khứ đơn dùng để:
- Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc đã xảy ra và kết thúc tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ. Các trạng từ thường đi kèm với thì này là: yesterday, last night, last week, last year,….
The football match finished at 9.00 last night.
The girls came to see me yesterday.
- Diễn tả một loạt các hành động nói tiếp nhau trong quá khứ.
She waked into the living-room, turned on the light and saw a terrible mess.
III. Thì quá khứ tiếp diễn (The past continuous)1. Cấu tạo:2. Cách dùng: Thì quá khứ tiếp diễn dùng để diễn tả những hành động, sự việc đang xảy ra tại một thời điểm xác định trong quá khứ.
They were singing in this room at 9 p.m yesterday.
He was watching TV at 11.00 last night.
3. Cách dùng "when" và "while" với thì quá khứ tiếp diễn.
- Dùng "when" trong trường hợp khi có một hành động đang xảy ra thì có một hành động khác xen ngang. Chú ý là "when" thường dùng ở mệnh đề với thì quá khứ đơn.
She was having dinner when I come home.
They were going home when it rained.
- Dúng "while" khi có hai hành động song song cùng xảy ra tại một thời điểm trong quá khứ.
He was cooking while his wife was watching TV.
V. Thì hiện tại hoàn thành. (The perfect present)1. Cấu tạo.2. Cách dùng: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành dùng để:
- Diễn tả một hành động đã xảy ra tại một thời điểm nào đó trong quá khứ (không xác định rõ thời điểm) và kết quả của hành động còn lưu lại đến hiện tại.
They have bought a new car.
The badminton match has finished.
- Diễn tả một hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ, kéo dài đến hiện tại và có thể tiép tục ở tương lai.
I have learnt English for eight years.
- Diến tả sự việc sẽ hoàn thành ở tương lai; trước mệnh đề thường có: if, when, before, after, as soon as, ….Let's have our meeting after we have had dinner.
3. Cách dùng thì hiện tại hoàn thành với một số trạng từ:a) Since: Chỉ mốc thời gian: since 2010, since Monday, since last summer, …
I haven't seen him since kast sring.
They have bought this flat since 2009.
b) For: Chỉ khoảng thời gian hành động thực hiện được là bao lâu: for 2 years, for ten minutes, for along time, ….
Lam has learnt English for 4 years.
I have lived here for 3 months.
c) Just: Chỉ hành động mới xảy ra được một thời gian ngắn.
Jully Mill has just finished her report.
It has just started raining.
d) Already (rồi): Được dùng để nhấn mạnh rằng một hành động nào đó đã xảy ra sớm hơn mong đợi. Already được dùng trong câu khẳng định và đứng ngay sau trợ động từ have / has hoặc đứng ở cuối câu.
Pike: Is Tom going to phone you later?
Jack: No, He has already phoned me.
e) Yet (chưa): Được sử dụng với động từ phủ định để nhấn mạnh rằng hành động nào đó chưa xảy ra, nhưng chúng ta nghĩ hành động ròi sẽ xảy ra.)
We haven't finished this work yet. ( = We haven't finished this work, but we will finish it.)
The Tom hasn't arrived yet. (The Tom has not arrived, but he probably will arrive.)
f) Ever (đã từng): thường dùng để hỏi sự trải nghiệm trong công việc hoặc trong cuộc sống của một hay nhiều người nào đó.
Have you ever been to America?
Have you ever met President Balack Obama?
g) Never: Nói về hành động, sự việc chưa từng trải qua. Never được dùng trong câu khẳng định nhưng mang ý nghĩa phủ định và đứng ngay sau have/has.
I have never been to Laos.
We have never eaten hamberger.
VI. Thì hiện tại hoàn thành tiếp diễn (The present perfect continous)
1. Cấu tạo:2. Cách dùng: Thì hiện tại hoàn thành tiếp diễn dùng để nhấn mạnh rằng một hành động đã xảy ra, nhưng còn tiếp tục ở hiện tại và còn có thể kéo dài đến tương lai.
I have been learning English for 8 years.
He has been writing this report for half an hour.

2. Cách dùng: Thì quá khứ hoàn thành dùng để:
- Chỉ một việc đã hoàn thành trước một thời gian nhất định trong quá khứ, hoặc trước khi một sự việc khác ở quá khứ bắt đầu.
When I got home, someone had taken my new laptop.
We didn't need to queue because we had bought the tickets.
- Thì qua khứ hoàn thành thường đi cùng các từ chỉ thời gian như: after, before, when, by the time, as soon as, already, ever, never.When we return with our cameras, the bird had already flown away.
VIII. Thì tương lai đơn (The simple future)
1. Cấu tạo:2. Cách dùng: Thì tương lai đơn dùng để dự đoán một hành động nào đó sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai.
We will go to Japan next month.
It will rain tomorrow.
3. So sánh từ tương lai đơn (will) với cách nói tương lai gần (be going to)- Thì tương lai đơn (will) diễn tả ý nghĩa tương lai nhưng không khẳng định chắc chắn hành động sẽ xảy ra, nó chỉ có tính chất dự đoán.
The voleyball match will occur tomorrow afternoon.
- Dùng tương lai gần (be going to) khi chúng ta muốn nói hành động nào đó đã được sắp xếp, lập kế hoạch cụ thể và chắc chắn hành động sẽ xảy ra.
It is going to rain tonight.
I am going to visit Ho Chi Minh City next Sunday.
IX. Thì tương lai tiếp diễn (The future continuous)1. Cấu tạo:2. Cách dùng: Thì tương lai tiếp diễn diễn tả hành động sẽ đang xảy ra tại một thời điểm trong tương lai.
She will be waiting for you at 10. 00 tomorrow morning at the station.
By the time next week, I will be living in Ha NoiCity.

(Relative clause)
Mệnh đề quan hệ (MĐQH) là mệnh đề nói cho chúng ta biết người hay vật mà người nói muốn đề cập tới. MĐQH thường bắt đầu bằng các đại từ quan hệ (ĐTQH) hợc trạng từ quan hệ: who, whom, which, that, whose, when, where, why.
1. Who: là đại từ quan hệ chỉ người, được dùng làm chủ ngữ trong MĐQH.
The architect who desgned this building doesn't live here.
I hate people who laugh at their own jokes.
2. Whom: là đại từ quan hệ chỉ người được dùng làm tân ngữ trong MĐQH.
A man whom John knew was standing at the bar.
Thhe woman whom I wanted to see was away on holiday.
3. Which: là đại từ quan hệ chỉ vật trong MĐQH.
I don't like the stories which here unhappy endings.
This is the book which I like best.
4. That: là đại từ quan hệ được dùng để thay thế cho người (who) và vật (which).
I can't find the book that/which I was reading.
What is the name of the player that/who was injured?
5. Whose: là đại từ quan hệ được dùng thay thế cho các tính từ sở hữu: my, our, their, his, her, ít.
The people whose cars were damaged complained to the police.
A widow is a woman whose husband is dead.
6. Where: là đại từ quan hệ được dùng để chỉ nơi chốn.
The hotel where we stayed was very expensive.
I recently went back the country where I was born.
7. MĐQH xác định và MĐQH không xác định (Defining relative clauses and Non-defining ralative clauses)
a) MĐQH xác định: là mệnh đề cần thiết cho ý nghĩa của câu. Nếu bỏ nó đi, ý nghĩa của câu sẽ không rõ ràng.
The girl whom I met yesterday is very nice.
b) MĐQH không xác định: là mệnh đề không cần thiết cho ý nghĩa của câu. Nó chỉ có tác dụng bổ sung thêm tông tin cho câu mà thôi, khi bỏ mệnh đề này đi ý nghĩa của câu không bị thay đổi. MĐQH không xác định được ngăn cách bằng dấu phảy (,).

* Chú ý: Không dùng "that" trong mệnh đề quan hệ không xác định.

(The infinitive and the ing – form)
I. Verb + to - infnitive
1. Sau một số động từ chúng ta có thể sử dụng hình thức nguyên thể có to (to-infinitive): decide, manage, arrange, agree, desire, fail, plan, promise, tend, afford, offer, appear, demand, ask, expect, prepare, want, pretend, prove…
S + V + to - infinitive

II. Verb + ing-form

S + V + ing- form

III. Verb + to –infinitive or verb + ing-form

2. Sau các động từ"try, remember, forget", chúng ta có thể sử dụng một trong hai hìh thức "ing-form" hoặc "to – infinitive" nhưng ý nghĩa của câu sẽ khác nhau.

IV. Verb + object + to-infinitive

V. Infinitive with / without "to"
1. Infinitive with "to": Sau một số động từ: decide, agree, offer, want, hope, plan, promise, …chúng ta sử dụng hình thức nguyên thể cỏ "to": "to – infinitive"

2. Infinitive without "to": Chúng ta thường sử dụng hình thức nguyên thể không có "to" sau một số động từ khuyết thiếu: will, would, can, could, shall, should, must, may, might.

The Moon (Latin: Luna) is Earth's only natural satellite and the fifth largest natural satellite in the Solar System.

James Watt was a Scottish inventor and mechanical engineer whose improvements to the steam engine were fundamental to the changes brought by the Industrial Revolution.
James Watt was born on 19 January, 1736 in Greenock, a seaport on the Firtth of Clyde. His father was a shipwright, ship owner and contractor, while his mother, Agnes Muirhead, came from a distinguished family and was well educated. Both were Presbyterians and strong Covenanters.

In 1764, Watt married his cousin Margaret Miller, with whom he had five children, two of whom lived to adulthood. She died on childbirth in 1772. In 1777 he married again, to Ann Macgregor, daughter of a Glasgow dye-maker, who survived him. She died in 1832. Watt had a brother by the name of John. He was shipwrecked when James 17.
